Quick base
INGREDIENTS
  • 2 cups self-raising flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 3/4 cup milk
METHODS
  1. Mix flour and salt to soft dough with milk.
  2. Knead lightly.
  3. Pat out to cover base of 30cm pizza tray.
Yeast base
INGREDIENTS
  • 1 3/4 teaspoon dried yeast
  • 3/4 cup warm water
  • 1/4 teaspoon sugar
  • 2 cups flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 tablespoons oil
METHODS
  1. Sprinkle yeast on water - stand for 2 minutes. Stir in sugar.
  2. Leave until mixture starts bubbling.
  3. Place flour, salt and oil into a bowl. Stir in yeast, mix well.
  4. Knead lightly until shiny. Place in a grease bowl and leave in a warm place until doubled in size. Pat out to fit a large pizza tray.
Filling
INGREDIENTS
  • 3 tablespoons tomato paste
  • 1 medium onion sliced
  • 3-4 cups shredded cheese
  • 1 teaspoon oregano
METHODS
  1. Spread tomato past over base.
  2. Sprinkle with toppings.
  3. Bake fairly low in oven at 180˚C for about 20-25 minutes until crust is lightly browned and filling is hot.
  4. Serves 4-6.
