Quick base
INGREDIENTS
- 2 cups self-raising flour
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 3/4 cup milk
METHODS
- Mix flour and salt to soft dough with milk.
- Knead lightly.
- Pat out to cover base of 30cm pizza tray.
Yeast base
INGREDIENTS
- 1 3/4 teaspoon dried yeast
- 3/4 cup warm water
- 1/4 teaspoon sugar
- 2 cups flour
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 2 tablespoons oil
METHODS
- Sprinkle yeast on water - stand for 2 minutes. Stir in sugar.
- Leave until mixture starts bubbling.
- Place flour, salt and oil into a bowl. Stir in yeast, mix well.
- Knead lightly until shiny. Place in a grease bowl and leave in a warm place until doubled in size. Pat out to fit a large pizza tray.
Filling
INGREDIENTS
- 3 tablespoons tomato paste
- 1 medium onion sliced
- 3-4 cups shredded cheese
- 1 teaspoon oregano
METHODS
- Spread tomato past over base.
- Sprinkle with toppings.
- Bake fairly low in oven at 180˚C for about 20-25 minutes until crust is lightly browned and filling is hot.
- Serves 4-6.
